Summary
Shane O'Brien, known by his stage name Shobzy, shares insights into his musical journey and influences. He explains that his nickname emerged naturally as he transitioned into music, with his father being a significant influence in his early love for music. Shobzy cites David Bowie and George Michael as key inspirations for his solo work, aiming to emulate their success as pop artists.
Shobzy recently released a personal track titled "Perfect," which he initially hesitated to share due to its intimate nature. The song reflects on the pain of parting ways with people in life, resonating with listeners who have drawn parallels to George Michael's style. His new EP, "The World Will Not Remember," encapsulates recent life changes and the freedom that comes with the fast-paced nature of the music industry.
Following a successful summer of performances, including a notable appearance at Electric Picnic, Shobzy is set to embark on a tour across Ireland, with shows scheduled in cities like Limerick, Dublin, and Galway. He hints at a special project recorded at Abbey Road, expected to be announced after Christmas, further building anticipation for his evolving music career. Fans can follow him on social media under the handle Shobzy Music for updates and concert information.
