Larissa Leone is the founder of the postnatal stay Homb. Larissa went through postnatal anxiety and depression after giving birth to her daughter Valentina almost 13 years ago. That experience, and knowing that no other postnatal stay like it existed, inspired Larissa to create Homb. Steph stayed at Homb after giving birth to Billie earlier this year and knew a little bit about Larissa’s story but in this episode Steph sits down with Larissa to learn more and find out where Homb came from. Larissa shares about her experience of postnatal anxiety & depression, how her postpartum differed between her first Valentina, and her second Sebastian, the research she did before creating Homb, and the profound impact she has had on families who got to experience Homb. More from Bump with Steph & Laura
Laura’s algorithm has been serving her a lot of parenting advice lately, and some of it is making her question decisions she already feels good about. Today, we’re unpacking Dr Erica Komisar’s views on daycare, the pressure to put motherhood ahead of everything else, and why so much parenting content leaves mums feeling guilty.
What's the pettiest thing you've ever done as a parent? We came across a hilarious TikTok from @kristenbright sharing some very petty parenting moments, and naturally, we had to unpack our own. From tiny acts of revenge to the ridiculous things we do when we're running on empty... this is a reminder that we all do it!
It feels like everyone around us is overwhelmed right now, so today we’re getting into why everything suddenly feels like a lot. We’re coming out of winter, the weather is warming up, life is getting busier, and there’s suddenly this pressure to get back into gear.
Today, we're so lucky to be sitting down with Shameless Media co-founder, Michelle Andrews.
