Show Notes
In s02e08 “Final Exam” of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin: Summer School, Imogen becomes a jealous girlfriend and bashes Johnny’s head in with a pipe wrench after finding bodies in the Creamery freezer. Not crossed an important relationship milestone when she asks Jen to help her hot-wire a car. Faran saves Kelly with the worst CPR you’ve ever seen, and later karate kicks Bloody Rose in the face. Mouse’s plot-line still consists of refreshing SpookySpaghetti dot com twice a day, and updating the other girls on new developments at her leisure. And Tabby gets to be the Final Final Girl in one of the lamest killer reveals ever broadcast—and that includes Principal Clanton last season, so that’s saying something!
More from Bros Watch PLL Too - A Pretty Little Liars podcast
Merry Christmas, bitches. The Bros are checking in one last time for 2025 with an extended conversation about the writing of our Trouble: Girl Detective mystery series. We’re joined by London of the Cinema of Cruelty podcast to go deep on heroes, villains, TV adaptation changes, our writer origin stories, and much more. Massive SPOILER warning! We immediately get into end-of-series details, so don’t listen until you’ve finished all five books.
This week on the pod we’re joined by special guest and Trouble contest winner Amanda to time jump back to January 2016, when Pretty Little Liars was giving us a taste of the Liars all grown up. Spaleb! Lucas still thinks he has a shot with Hanna! Emily went to massive lengths to conceal the fact that she dropped out! Aria is still way too codependent on Ezra. Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.
The Bros are back with special guest and Trouble contest winner Raine Fielder to talk about the four-girl romp that started it all, I. Marlene King and Lesli Linka Glatter’s Now and Then. Marco, James, and Raine talk about those old coming of age movies, kids riding bikes, and which characters resemble a proto-Pretty Little Liar. Thanks to Raine for joining us, and check out her linktree for more about her work.
The time has come to close the chapter on Ravenswood, which the Bros do by revisiting PLL s05e11 “No One Here Can Love or Understand Me,” where Caleb tells Hanna and the audience what happened with that whole pact thing. It’s not much.
Well folks, we did it. We’ve completed the first and only season of Ravenswood, an odd, half-baked show that never seemed to know what story it was trying to tell. The finale, in a word, is baffling. At least we got to see lots of Benzo.
