R' Elimelech Friedman: A Hasidic Marriage Counselor Opens Up - Finding True Love, Why Cheating Happens & How Marriages Heal
Inspiration for the Nation with Yaakov LangerShow Notes
The topics discussed in this episode are intended for a mature audience and may not be suitable for younger viewers.
What makes a marriage thrive and what causes it to slowly fall apart?
In this raw and honest conversation, Rabbi Elimelech Friedman shares what he's learned from counseling hundreds of Chassidish and Jewish couples over decades. Drawing from years of marriage counseling and relationship guidance, he discusses the challenges couples face in building trust, maintaining emotional connection, and creating lasting love.
From communication struggles and recurring conflict to intimacy, infidelity, and marriage repair, Rabbi Friedman reveals the hidden patterns he sees again and again. He explains why some relationships grow stronger through adversity while others drift apart, and how healthy marriages are built through understanding, validation, and consistent effort.
Why do good people cheat? What does real intimacy actually mean? How can couples rebuild trust after betrayal or years of emotional distance? And what daily habits strengthen a marriage long before a crisis appears?
Whether you're dating, engaged, newly married, or celebrating decades together, this conversation offers practical marriage advice, relationship wisdom, and powerful insights into communication, conflict resolution, personal growth, and building a healthier, more meaningful marriage. It's an honest discussion about Jewish marriage, Chassidish marriage, emotional intimacy, trust, love, and the work required to create a strong relationship that lasts.
