Sandra Jacobs on the hidden reality of nappy poverty with The Nappy Collective

Parenthood

Show Notes

What happens when a parent has to choose between buying nappies and putting food on the table?

In this episode, I speak with Sandra founder of The Nappy Collective about the confronting reality of nappy poverty in Australia — affecting tens of thousands of families every month.

We talk about parents going without meals to afford nappies, the desperate measures some families are forced to take, and the heartbreaking reality that The Nappy Collective is currently only able to reach a fraction of those who need support.

We also discuss the incredible work being done to get nappies into the hands of families who need them and the simple ways we can all help.

Because no parent should have to choose between food, medicine and a clean nappy for their child.
