What if being blessed has less to do with what you have and everything to do with who you belong to?

In “You’re More Blessed Than You Think | The Overwhelming Blessings Found Only In Christ,” we walk through Ephesians 1 and discover the spiritual blessings that are already ours because we are united with Jesus. Before we accomplish anything, prove anything, or earn anything, God has already revealed how He sees us and what He has made available to us through Christ.

Paul reminds us that in Jesus, we are loved, chosen, adopted, accepted, redeemed, and forgiven. These aren't blessings reserved for a future season or dependent on our circumstances. They are present realities that reshape our identity, our relationship with God, and the way we live today.

In this sermon, you'll discover: What it means to already possess every spiritual blessing in Christ Why God's love for you began before you could ever earn it How being chosen and adopted changes the way you see yourself What it means to live from God's acceptance instead of working for it How redemption and forgiveness reveal the overwhelming richness of God's grace

It's easy to measure how blessed we are by what's happening around us—what we have, what we've achieved, or what we're still waiting on God to do. But Ephesians 1 invites us to see blessings differently. Our greatest blessings aren't dependent on our circumstances; they're rooted in everything that has already been made ours through Jesus.

When we begin to understand what we've already received, blessings take on an entirely different meaning. Instead of looking at our lives through the lens of what we lack, we can live confidently from what is already ours—His love, His grace, His acceptance, and the freedom He purchased for us.

The blessing isn't simply what God gives us. The blessing is what we have found in Christ.

In Ephesians 4:1–6, Paul called us to walk worthy of our calling by maintaining the unity of the Spirit — through humility, gentleness, and bearing with one another in love. That’s how we protect unity as individuals. But in verse 7, Paul turns to how we maintain it together as a church.

For the first three chapters of Ephesians, Paul has been showing us who we are in Christ, what we have received through Him, and what His grace has accomplished on our behalf. But when chapter 4 begins, the focus shifts. Paul moves from what we believe to how those beliefs should actually shape the way we live.
