Show Notes
When you combine the surgical precision of CASSIMM with the raw, house-diva energy of DJ Rae, the result is a high-grade club weapon that feels both timeless and urgently modern. Landing on Jackies Music Records, “Your Touch” is the culmination of a long-standing creative respect between two artists who have shaped the underground landscape in their own distinct ways.
The collaboration was born not from a deadline, but from a genuine artistic spark. After "bouncing ideas around" for some time, the duo found their sweet spot when CASSIMM took Rae’s infectious vocal hook and locked it into a rolling, high-energy groove. The synergy was immediate; as Rae notes, the track was built to be an "easy player," capturing a specific floor-focused vibe that was refined through rigorous road-testing. It’s a record that doesn't just fill a slot in a set—it commands the room with a natural, effortless swagger.
DJ Rae brings her formidable legacy to the table, continuing the trajectory that saw her snapped up by Defected after the seminal "Can’t Stop" with Kings of Tomorrow. As a producer and live-vocalist powerhouse who has navigated everything from underground smashes to UK chart-toppers like "Take Me Away," her signature writing style provides the soulful heartbeat of the track. Opposite her, London-based CASSIMM applies the analogue-rich production touch that has made him one of the most in-demand artists on the international circuit. Known for his ability to sweep the full spectrum of house music with an emphatic, deep-rooted understanding of the genre, CASSIMM provides a foundation that is as sophisticated as it is driving.
“Your Touch” is more than a collaboration; it is a celebration of two masters of the craft finding a common language. It pairs Rae’s status as a modern house diva with CASSIMM’s sharp, underground sensibilities to deliver a record that is unapologetically designed for the dance floor. Robust, soulful, and refined, this release on Jackies Music Records is proof that when the chemistry is right, the music speaks for itself.
