Show Notes
Newcastle are through to the third round with the managers first competitive win in the dugout against a surprisingly tough Championship opposition in West Brom.
Charlotte was the host late on Wednesday evening, straight after the game, joined by Adam W and Si to revel in another high scoring game at SJP just 4 days after the last one.
LOTS of positives to take from this evening:
- a chance to see some new players, including the unveiling of Nico Gonzalez just before the game!
- through in the cup that we never seem to get knocked out of.
- some decisions for the manager to make ahead of the weekend with more impressive performances from the new lads (and the new versions of Wissa and Elanga)
- AND of course, a brace from Barnes off the bench.

Alex is joined by Charlotte, Chris and Jonny to dissect Newcastle United’s disappointing home defeat to Aston Villa. The panel reflect on what went wrong on the pitch, the fallout from another frustrating result, and the key changes needed to get Newcastle back on track ahead of next week’s trip to Crystal Palace.
Not for the first time, Newcastle travelled away from home and produced a woefully poor performance against a team they really should be dominating. A mistake riddled performance against Frank Lampard's Coventry resulted in a 4-1 battering, But what have we learned from this? Si is joined by Adam and Kyle to talk about events at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Mark Douglas joins Si to discuss his thoughts on NUFC under Matthias Jaissle, following a recent sit down with the Newcastle Manager. Mark will also provide an update on the direction if the club and the major steps taken with the academy.
We're delighted to be joined by a special guest today's show. Dan Jackson hosts an interview with Mick Martin and long time supporter, David Waugh. David has supported Newcastle for 8 decades, in which time he's witnessed multiple trophies, Incredible players and the rise of NUFC into the Premier League. But have we ever had it as good as it is now?
The first week of an International break seems like a great time to review Mattias Jaissle's bow into Premier League management. Chris, Scott and Si join Adam to assess his impact off the field, his in game tactics and what we need to see in the future from our new manager.
