Working with The Rolling Stones and Getting into Recording With Dani Bennett Spragg - Noisy Women The Podcast
noisy and outspokenShow Notes
Dani Bennett Spragg is a recording engineer and mixer based in London. She currently works primarily out of boutique North-West London studios Hoxa HQ & Toast Studios, working with artists such as Palace, The Amazons, IDLES and Circa Waves. Stumbling into the industry aged 18, after doing work experience with industry legend Flood, Dani fell head over heels, learning on the job before landing her first full time role.
I have known Dani for a few years, first meeting in April 2019. I’ve admired her work and drive from afar, it was lovely to record this interview and catch up on the last 12 months. Despite the world being upside down, it seems Dani has been working harder than ever, mixing tracks for The Rolling Stones and working on a handful of new material for some incredible artists. Dani was named as 'Breakthrough Engineer of the Year' at the MPG Awards in 2019 and she was also nominated for the 2021 MPG Award for 'Recording Engineer of the Year'.

More from noisy and outspoken

Packing for life on the road is a true art and every person has a list of their non-negotiable items that keep them sane, healthy, and functional when living out of a suitcase.
If you were to remove your tag on Instagram, would anyone know that you took the photograph? That's what we're talking about today, how to find YOUR creative style, not just one you copied from someone else on social media.
When people think of music photography, they picture summer festivals and constantly being on tour. But the reality of turning this into a full-time career? It often means taking on some unsexy jobs behind the scenes that help to pay the bills...
Stepping into a festival photo pit as part of the photo team can be a lot, often you're meeting a whole new group of people and having to get comfy with exporting your files within 15 minutes of the headliner finishing their set.
