If you’ve ever thought “I just don’t stick to exercise unless I’m in a class or with a PT” - this episode is for you. In today’s conversation, I explain why exercising at home often feels harder than exercising in a class, and why it has nothing to do with motivation, discipline, or willpower. The truth is -you’re comparing two completely different systems. In this episode, I break down: Why home exercise feels mentally heavier than classes
The real skill gap most women don’t realise exists
Why “I can’t motivate myself at home” is usually about confidence & cognitive load
The exact skills needed to train independently (and how to build them)
When it doesn’t matter if you never learn to exercise at home; and when it really does
This is about relief, not pressure. There is nothing wrong with you. If learning how to train confidently at home feels relevant to your season of life right now, this episode will help you understand why, and how to move forward without guilt. 👉 Follow along on Instagram: @glowwithlibby👉 Learn more about GLOW10 Tribe, my physio-led strength program designed to build confidence, rhythm, and independence with home training.

If you’ve been wondering whether the only way to get stronger is with a barbell, or if you’ve been lifting with a barbell and you’re about to spend some time without one, this episode is for you. Before I headed overseas for four months, I sat down with the women from my GLOW Lift classes to plan their training while I’m away. Some joined a gym together. Others are training at home, without a barbell or the heavier weights they’re used to. And the same question kept coming up. If I’m not using the barbell, am I going backwards? Is it a waste of time using anything else? We cover: Why the barbell feels like “real” lifting, and why your muscles don’t actually know what you’re holding
"I know why my neck hurts. My posture is terrible." I hear this in clinic all the time, usually from a woman who has just pulled herself bolt upright because she's in the room with a physio. So in this episode I'm answering the question properly: does fixing your posture actually fix neck and shoulder tension? The answer is sometimes. But there is no one perfect posture, despite everything we've been led to believe. We cover: Why posture gets the blame (and why women are so quick to apologise for theirs)
If you're a woman in midlife, you train at home, and your workout is always the first thing to go the moment anyone needs anything, this episode is for you. It's also for you if you feel guilty even when nobody has asked you to stop. In this episode, I share two very ordinary moments from my own house and what they taught me about why exercise can feel slightly selfish, even when you know it isn't. Then we get into what you can actually do about it. We cover: Why exercise ends up in the same mental bucket as a haircut or a massage
Last week I posted a Reel making fun of the exact moment I know a patient has been asking ChatGPT for a diagnosis. Most people laughed. Then the comments started, and they were far more interesting than the joke. Someone said ChatGPT had solved something four physios had missed. Someone else said after 40 appointments, a bot was the only thing that had actually helped. A few people talked about years of chronic illness, and having to walk into appointments armed with possible diagnoses just to be taken seriously. So in this episode, I'm properly unpacking it. Not "should you use AI," because I think that question misses the point. It's about what job you're actually giving it. You'll learn: The real difference between AI generating possibilities and a clinician making a diagnosis
Ever look back at how you used to do things and cringe a little? In this episode, I'm taking you back to the gym I joined when I was 17, and every strength training mistake I made without realising it. Treating cardio as the main event. Making every exercise more complicated than it needed to be. Changing my program every few weeks before I'd given it a chance to actually work. I'm not sharing this to be hard on my younger self. I was doing the best I could with the information I had at the time. But if you're doing your own version of these mistakes right now, this episode might save you a lot of the years it took me to figure it out. You'll learn: Why putting cardio first might be working against your strength goals
