The Legend of Podcast: Trails through TrailsShow Notes
We've officially finished Trails in the Sky First Chapter! Hell yeah! We invited Chase Allhart (dotzip, Video Game Podtimism) and AJ Fillari (dotzip and podcast editor extraordinaire) to join us and talk about our overall experience with the game, how we felt about it, and do a (sorta) quick recap of the whole game. Spoilers ahead! We also answer some great questions sent in by listeners of the show, thank you so much to everyone who submitted! We'll be back in a few weeks to start Trails in the Sky SC, beginning with the whole prologue for episode one. See you then!
If you'd like to see more from AJ and Chase... dotzip: A podcast about big games in small packages, featuring AJ & Chase alongside their cohost Kim. Lex also guested on a recent episode! Video Game Podtimism: The optimist's video game variety show, featuring Chase and best friend David. They play the okay-est games out there and gosh, what they love about them. The Worst Garbage Discord community: The home of both VGP and dotzip. You'll catch both of Trails through Trails' hosts on there pretty often too!

More from The Legend of Podcast: Trails through Trails
Technically this episode is about the early hours of the new Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter remake, but you’d be forgiven for thinking we’d woven something else in. For this extra special bonus episode we’re joined by Into the Aether and Memory Card Manuscript’s own Stephen Hilger! We all hung out to chat about 2C, Fortune’s Weave, the voice cast of 2C, Fortune’s Weave, Zelda, fishing redemption, Fortune’s Weave and 2C. It’s hard to stay focused, there’s lots of good games out right now!!
Never forget - it's not over 'til it's OVA! For a bit of fun between seasons, we sat down to watch Trails in the Sky: The Animation, the 2011-2012 Original Video Animation made to celebrate Falcom's 30th anniversary. But that's not all! We also invited Mischa Stanton, co-host of the Simple & Clean podcast and audio editrix extraordinaire with the Multitude podcast collective, to watch it with us as their very first exposure to the Trails series. Does this movie make any sense? Does it tell the story of (some of) Trails in the Sky accurately?? And what are YOU willing to do for foley, when the chips are down? We ask all this and more, as we see just how far Mischa's media literacy can get them when dropped into the middle of this goof-ass story.
🎵 As we go on, we remember All the doors we did together 🎶 It's ovah! Sky 3rd! The Sky Trilogy! It's ovah!! One final push to the Lord of Phantasma, then it's time to go home to Liberl. Are we forgetting anybody?
It's almost time to sail off to the big big bad of the game! Now's your last chance to level up, kit out the party, dive into the literal depths of Hell, and explore magical memory doors that dive into some seriously hardcore business.
We've been enjoying all the delicious goodness that Sky the 3rd has to offer for the last few months, and now? It's time to eat our vegetables. It's the Sum Door Sunnary! I mean, the Sun Door Summary. Yeah, that one.
