Show Notes
This week Beau continues his series all about the English monarchy. Picking up from the point at which Mary Queen of Scots had had to flee Scotland for her life, and had subsequently fallen into the hands of Elizabeth. This period of Elizabeth’s reign is concerned largely with rising tensions with the Spanish, the awkward question of how to deal with Mary Queen of Scots (her cousin), assassination plots, and, of course, the continuing balancing act between Protestantism and Catholicism.
