Show Notes

Nextech3D.ai CEO Evan Gappelberg joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce that the company’s Map D platform has generated its first AI-created customer floor plan for the Florida Home Builders Association’s Southeast Building Conference (SEBC) 2027.

Gappelberg told Proactive that the milestone demonstrates the practical application of Map D’s recently launched agentic AI capabilities, which are designed to automate traditionally manual event-planning workflows and improve production efficiency.

SEBC is a major building industry trade show in the southeastern United States, bringing together professionals, exhibitors and industry leaders to explore residential construction products, services and developments. The conference has been running for nearly five decades and features exhibitions, educational programming, professional development and networking opportunities.

The 2027 event will take place in the South Concourse of the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The venue forms part of the convention centre’s extensive North-South complex, which features approximately 950,000 square feet of exhibit space.

The Florida Home Builders Association, established in 1947, represents Florida’s homebuilding industry and serves as the parent organization for 23 local and regional homebuilder associations across the state.

The first AI-generated customer floor plan follows Nextech3D.ai’s October 15, 2026, launch of agentic AI features within Map D. These capabilities allow users to direct the platform using natural-language instructions, with the aim of simplifying floor-plan creation and reducing reliance on manual processes.

The company believes AI-powered workflows could improve production efficiency, reduce incremental labour requirements and support a more scalable software business model as demand for digital event-planning tools grows.

The SEBC 2027 milestone provides an early example of how Nextech3D.ai is applying its AI technology to a customer project, as it works to automate more of the event floor-plan production process.
