Show Notes
Frizz and Bob raise a glass to Pride Month with two beautiful pours and one unforgettable album: The Record by boygenius. With Oban Distiller's Edition in one glass and Angel's Envy Cellar Collection in the other, we dive into the story of how three distinct voices - Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker - found harmony, friendship, and fire in each other. Join us as we talk about chosen family, collaboration without ego, queer joy, and the raw emotional power that makes The Record a modern classic. Come sip with us and celebrate one of the boldest supergroups of our time.
More from Rhythm on the Rocks
Join us for another celebration! This time we are celebrating some of the best music from Italian-American culture...and David Lee Roth. We each choose an Italian beverage and some killer crooner songs.
This week, we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with pours and songs from this vibrant and amazing culture!
Today we conclude Bourbon Heritage Month with a very special guest, Owen Martin, the Master Distiller/Whiskey Maker for Angel's Envy. Join us as Owen talks us through the two new special releases by Angel's Envy, his unique take on innovation within the bourbon world, his atypical journey to master distiller, and so much more.
This week, Frizz and Bob celebrate Bourbon Heritage Month with their first-ever Rhythm on the Rocks Spirits Awards. After a heartfelt tribute to Dolly Parton and a quick look at bourbon's history, they hand out completely unofficial but extremely important honors for everything from Best Bourbon Under $40 and Weirdest Pour to Best Bottle Design, Worst Thing Poured in Our Mouth, and Spirit of the Year. Expect everything from bourbon to vodka, tequila to Pedro Pascal's hypothetical mezcal, Costco hot dogs, Juicy Brucey, and even Frampton coming alive.
Today, we are joined by Andrew Virgin of Bespoken Spirits. Together, we talk about Bespoken and what makes them special, sample some of their product lineup, and dive into an absolutely amazing album - Mastodon's Crack the Skye. So join us as we tackle one hell of a story about loss, grief, Rasputin, and astral projection, all alongside a new friend of the show.
