"Hey Tableau is NOT just for Retail Analytics!" by Rob Tullo
Using a large (1.5M rows x 16K variables) public data set from the US Sentencing Commission, let's look at the likely outcomes for actual sentencing time based on case attributes such as the jurisdiction, the crimes committed, and criminal history.
Rob will talk about the dataset, the wrangling that went with it (thank you SPSS and R), the data modeling, and a variety of visualizations he built to help a legal team advise their clients how in trouble they really are.
Example visualizations are dynamic summary tables with dynamic titles, descriptive statistics, custom maps, histograms, and the boring stuff like bar charts and detail tables
