Episode 727 - Point/Counterpoint - Early Bee Gees vs Disco Era Bee Gees Part 1 of 2 w/Shannon Hurley
All Time Top TenShow Notes
The Bee Gees had one of the most unpredictable and astounding career arcs in music history. Who knew that 3 teenage brothers picking up guitars in Australia would own Swinging London within a few years., or that they would go on to have success that dwarfs their initial run when the world caught disco fever, and they were right at the pinnacle of it. Their story needs to be told in 2 parts, and that's what ATTT is all about this week. Here in Point/Counterpoint: Early Bee Gees vs Disco Era Bee Gees, we've enlisted the current world's biggest Bee Gees fan, the Gibb-obsessed Shannon Hurley. Here in part 1, Ben makes the case for the early period, with 5 representative bangers in picks 10-6.
