Three friends hear a hunter talking about something impossible hidden deep in the backwoods: an entire abandoned town sitting in a remote valley.
Naturally, they decide to find it.
At the end of an overgrown logging road, they discover McKamey—a sprawling town of empty houses, deserted businesses, silent streets, and a population sign claiming that more than 12,000 people once lived there.
But something about McKamey doesn't make sense.
The buildings don't seem old enough. Some of the things left behind are far too new. And the deeper they explore, the harder it becomes to explain how an entire town could simply disappear without anyone knowing it had ever existed.
Then they discover what happened to the people of McKamey.
And something that suggests they haven't discovered an abandoned town at all.
They've discovered a warning.
