Welcome back to Fred Asquith On The Ball, my new platform for discussing all things SPORT. Today we dive into dissecting Fury & Joshua both fighting last weekend as a warm up to their prospective bout at the end of 2026. I give my prediction plus have a good old rant about the potential of it being staged in the USA. I then move onto defending Luke Littler aka The Mozart of Darts who incredulously is STILL getting booed by fans who - in my opinion - need to have a day off. I also wax lyrical about a potential new golfing sensation after an incredible victory by a certain 21-year-old in the 3M Open last weekend. We also touch on F1, Klopp for Germany, Guardiola turning down Italy, and MORE! Timestamps below.

More from Fred Asquith On The Ball
Today on FoB I discuss why Man United are rotten to the core, singling out Harry Maguire as being representative of the problem. I also reflect on Diego Gomez's incredible long range strike and lay out my 5-point criteria for the best long range goals. We then move on to review the Dubois vs Wardley fight we previewed last week before finishing off with a really interesting Voice Note Hot Take from Rami about how much World Cup Wins factor in the GOAT debate. Today on FoB I once again give my neutral take on the Man City 115 Guilty Verdict situation in the aftermath of their 3-0 victory over Liverpool. I discuss why the focus was not on the game itself and whether that was right. I then move on to marvel at Jordan Henderson's ability to make Cold Palmer crack a smile, before finishing the footy chat by debating the lack of a red card for Luke Shaw (and the reasons why he lost the plot). We then dive into a preview on Dubois vs Wardley II, a heavyweight title fight sequel coming THIS Saturday that I think you should be aware of. I discuss Dubois recent career and my prediction for the fight. I touch on F1 and why I'm falling out of love with the sport, before as always finishing off with a voice note hot take - Send FoB a voice note! https://memo.fm/fredasquithontheball
Today on FoB we start with my account of an ALL ACCESS day at the NFL courtesy of Sky Sports. I talk about my observations behind the scenes as well as the sport and US sports in general. We then have a little natter about the Fury/Joshua fight announcement, press conference, and my general feelings of disdain for the whole affair. We naturally move on to a debrief of the England Camp, the 7-0 in full view of Croatian kids and why Jude Bellingham makes me wanna cry. I finish off with the inevitable second rant about City's 115 charges and potential punishment.
Today on FoB we debrief on England's loss to Spain and victory over Czechia with my 10 Takeaways of the camp so far, as we gear up for 2 more fixtures. I also go through some punishment options for City's guilty verdict; some silly, some serious. As always we finish with voice note hot takes which come via voice note here https://memo.fm/fredasquithontheball
Today on FoB we are previewing England's upcoming opening 2 fixtures of the Nations League vs Spain and Czechia by running through the chopping and changing in Tuchel's new England squad. I also reflect on his Reflections England App documentary where he says some questionable things about the World Cup aftermath. Finishing off with a plea for Fury vs Joshua.
