On this episode of "The Fashion Daddies", Nick and David continue their "Project Runway Rewind", recapping the FIRST SEASON of the show, and now, they're on to Episode 3, "Commercial Appeal". This week, the challenge was to design a Holiday Party Dress for a Banana Republic customer, and in a twist, the designers learned the winning design would be sold at select Banana Republic stores and online...yes, even ONLINE for 2004! The designers created looks that ranged from silk charmeuse dresses to...more silk charmeuse dresses. Watch to find out what Nick and David thought of each design and why some worked, and others were better suited for a Court Jester, a "Desperate Housewife" of Wisteria Lane, and maybe an early-Aughts "Cougar". This episode has it all...from early-aughts Lemon Drop Cocktails, old Dress Forms, and Duane Reed-bought irons, a designer who lived in Russia for 3 years with his wife before divorcing, and...Jay's "Chrysler Building" Dress that has become one of the most iconic Non-Winners in "Project Runway" history. We are still in 2004, kids! Yes, we are REWATCHING and REWINDING to Season One of "Project Runway," and now, it is time for the Second Episode, "Vision". The Fashion Daddies take you back to the year 2004, when "Mean Girls" was in the movie theaters and no one had an iPhone. For the 2nd Challenge, the remaining designers created looks using only Cotton Jersey Fabric, and in addition, their garment must convey "Envy"... somehow!? We broke down all the looks, their "Envy" (from P*nis Envy, War Envy, Model Envy, to even being Envious of Pregnant Women). Also: They were allowed to listen to their CD Walkmans? Hmmmm, it was 2004 after all. Who do "The Fashion Daddies" think had the best looks of the episode, and who deserved to go home? Watch the latest episode and join our "Rewatch & Rewind" Pod Party!
