Show Notes
This week I'm back flying solo. I am going back in time to 2001 to dive into a song from one of my favorite bands from that era; Further Seems Forever. The song we are listening to is New Year's Project and it's one of the better ones on the album.
Please go buy the song if you like it on iTunes and share the wealth! https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/new-years-project/id724302363?i=724302552
More from Seeing with sound
This week we dive into the world, and yes it is an entire world, of mewithoutyou. The obscure lyrical and musical style is what makes this Philly born rock band amazing. This song is called In a Sweater Poorly Knit and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
We, I mean I, are being joined by our, and I mean my, very good friend Josh Moyer. We will be talking about the many, MANY, different takes you can have on one song and who knows what view is correct. The song we are going over is Sic Transit Gloria by Brand New.
Episode three brings us to...wait for it...FOLK! folk music can be deep and emotional and also fun and energetic. Monsters of Folk bring a great balance in their writing. The song Ahead Of The Curve brings us to a more emotional and deeper side of things. The artistic style here is very easy to listen to and enjoy.
During this episode we take a listen to Copeland's song Testing The Strong Ones. The melodic and intricate sound of this songs really draws me in. The emotion this band writes and plays with is second to none.
In this episode we are looking at one of my favorite bands - Emery. The song is called Can't Stop The Killer and it gives a great insight to life and choices that we make and how others actions can effect or actions.
