It's Gardeners' World 2026 episode 5 recap time and this week we have a quick look at Spetchley Park Garden, learn about a highly venomous animal's contribution to Ozempic, the frightening world of kamikaze exploding ants, why you should never stand behind or even beside a mule, and how useful hot flushes are for skunk cabbages. We also learn about Gokul Asokan's Masters project which pre-empted the new RSPB guidelines on bird feeding.
On Gardeners' World we see Frances and Rua Tophill at Alison and Twiggy's place, Damson Farm, and Mena Wilson gives us a tour of her immense collection of daffodils in her garden in Birmingham. Joe Swift meets with Annie Agnew for a walk around her beautiful Crugsillick Manor Gardens in Cornwall, before Liz Carter shows us her erythroniums at Briarfield Garden in Neston, Cheshire, and Toby Buckland gives us some top tips from his garden in Devon.
Lastly, in our Chit-Chat-Catch-Up this week, we have a look at George Lowther's YouTube Channel and see how he's coping in his jungle garden after recent storms caused some unexpected damage, and we hear how Mandy Barber is expanding operations with her Edimentals.
