Summary
Pastor Jack Hibbs emphasizes the importance of understanding the spiritual wealth available to believers in his message titled "Things That We Need to Know," drawn from the Book of Ephesians. He explains that upon being born again, Christians inherit a wealth of spiritual resources that they may not initially recognize. This journey of discovery is likened to a child's gradual realization of their family's assets as they grow. Hibbs encourages believers to engage deeply with their faith through prayer, which he views as essential for unlocking the truths of Scripture and fostering a closer relationship with God.
Hibbs highlights the significance of prayer in the life of a believer, using the Apostle Paul's example of constant prayer for the church in Ephesus. He warns that neglecting prayer can lead to a decline in one's spiritual life, affecting not only the individual but also their community and church. The pastor stresses that faith in God and love for others are interconnected, asserting that a true relationship with God is reflected in how believers treat one another. He calls on listeners to cultivate a vibrant prayer life and to seek God's love, especially when faced with challenging relationships within the church.
Show Notes
Today, Pastor Jack teaches that Paul was a man devoted to prayer, and we're called to do the same. So, when our prayer life begins to fade, and we stop talking with God like we once did, we need to just quiet our hearts, and commune with Him in a whole new way.
