Show Notes

X Minus One presents “Honeymoon in Hell,” episode 81, originally broadcast on NBC on December 26, 1956. This radio adaptation of Fredric Brown’s 1950 novelette was written for radio by George Lefferts and directed by Daniel Sutter.

In a near-future world burdened by Cold War tensions and a startling decline in male births, an American space pilot and a Soviet scientist are assigned to a politically charged mission to the Moon. William Redfield and Vilma Cure star in this tense, satirical drama of international rivalry, human survival, and the unsettling calculations of a powerful computer.

Old Time Sci-Fi Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
