From Roker Park to Europe - Can Brentford Get Cup Glory Against the Black Cats? | Sunderland v Brentford League Cup Preview

Billy The Bee Grant catches up with Sunderland fan Conner Bromley ahead of Brentford’s League Cup trip to the Stadium of Light, discussing the Black Cats’ return to the Premier League, their European adventure and what to expect when the two sides meet in the cup.

On the agenda: Life back in the Premier League - the mood among Sunderland fans, the club’s rebuild under Kyril Louis-Dreyfus and whether expectations have changed. The European adventure - what continental football means to Sunderland and whether the extra fixtures are stretching the squad. The league form - six goals scored, 14 conceded and underwhelming results. Are poor finishing and bad luck masking better performances, or are there deeper problems? Cup priorities and team selection - will Régis Le Bris rotate, and could Keith Andrews give Brentford’s squad players another chance to impress? The match prediction - Sunderland’s biggest threats, where Brentford can exploit their opponents and who Conner expects to progress to the next round.

Can the Bees take advantage of Sunderland’s struggles, or will the Black Cats make home advantage count?
