Chafing the Dream NZ

Show Notes

Kia ora What an episode. Hammered it all in less than an hour. We update the listeners on Dwaynes running goals in 2026, will he chose another year of chasing ultras? Will he say that "I will never do another ultra again?" Of course he will. Mal shares her running goals for 2026, or lack thereof. We talk about our local Beach to Basin race in Whangarei, New Zealand and how to train for a 10k race. We talk training workouts like tempos, progression runs, and track sessions. There was a mailbag question about blisters on the heel and Dwayne shares lovely advice around basically returning the shoes. Finally we share Mal's results from her Bone DEXA scan and discuss osteopenia and the ongoing angst she has of reoccurring bone stress injuries. Comment, like us, subscribe to us. Episode every Wednesday at 5am. Nga mihi nui
