For The Love Of Golf

How Do I Get Better at Golf? | Listener Q&A with Iona Stephen & Dan Walker

For The Love Of Golf

Show Notes

How do you actually get better at golf? In Part 1 of our Listener Q&A special, you asked the questions and Iona Stephen and Dan Walker are here to answer them.

From cutting your handicap and curing the dreaded chipping yips to 411-yard drives and interviewing the biggest names in golf, this episode is all about YOUR questions.

Iona breaks down where a 15-handicap golfer can realistically find the shots to get down to 10, what a 6-handicapper should focus on to reach the low single figures.

Dan and Iona also go back to where their own love of golf began, revealing who first introduced them to the game and some of their earliest golfing memories.

Then it’s behind the mic to talk about what it’s really like interviewing the biggest names in golf and sport: the nerves, the difficult questions, the people who surprised them and the interviews they’re proudest of.

Plus: how many golf clubs are Dan and Iona actually members of? What did they shoot at the BMW Pro-Am? And, most importantly, does a 411-yard drive off an elevated tee and downwind really count?!

This is your golf club, so keep your questions coming in the comments and across our social channels.

And look out for Part 2, where we get into some of the biggest debates in golf, and send Dan and Iona into Golf Room 101.

For the Love of Golf is the golf podcast with Iona Stephen and Dan Walker, celebrating everything we love about the game.
