In this episode I sit down with Dean and Paris to share the incredible story of their son Gunner, a brave little boy living with medication resistant epilepsy. From the shock of his first seizures to endless hospital visits, ICU stays, and being faced with a world of doctors and pharmaceuticals pushing countless medications, they found themselves overwhelmed, confused, and desperate for answers.
Raised to trust the medical system, they were confronted with impossible decisions, even being told Dean could only stay in hospital accommodation during COVID if he took the vaccine. Through it all, they never stopped fighting for their boy. That fight eventually led them down a different path… using food as medicine through a strict ketogenic diet.
We talk about the fear, the faith, and the relentless hope it takes to keep going when the world feels like it is closing in. This is more than a conversation about epilepsy, it is about courage, love, and refusing to give up on your child.
A huge thank you to Dean and Paris for opening up and sharing their truth.

Back into full time construction now so time’s a bit limited. These descriptions can suck up more energy than the podcast itself, so I’m keeping them simple from here.
Watene sat down with me and opened the door to parts of his life that most people would rather keep locked away. We spoke about a childhood shaped by chaos, a rough upbringing, gangs, anger, violence, addiction, and the kind of environments that can either swallow you whole or forge something powerful inside you.
This episode we covered a few topics around kids and phones, Corey collapsing in the middle of no where and to be honest we don’t really know what else we spoke about 😂 so if you wanna come along for the good times, have a listen🎙️👌
Sat down with Josh Hupfeld, the creator of the Better Half Journal, and just had a real, grounded chat.
The eldest stepping into high school. A threshold. The end of a season. The quiet grief and beauty that comes with watching your kids grow and something familiar slowly fall away.
