What I'd Beg Every Woman in Her 20s to Know About Morning Routines

The Twenties Detox

Show Notes

Morning routines are still one of the most talked about topics on the internet. And somehow, so many of us are still waking up feeling behind before the day has even started. In this episode, I am sharing everything I wish someone had told myself earlier about building a routine that's *actually* tailored to yourself. We are getting into why copying what you see on social media is quietly working against you, how your routines can start regulating your nervous system instead of adding to your stress, the two morning rituals I keep returning to no matter what season I am in, and why flexibility might actually be what makes a routine hold long term. We are also going into evening rituals, seasonal workouts, and the one values-based question that ties all of it together. This one is for you if you have tried to build a routine a hundred times and it never sticks. If you scroll through "that girl" content and feel more behind than inspired. If you are ready to stop performing your mornings and actually feel them.

Autumn is almost always at the top of the list when I ask people where I live what their favourite season is. And honestly, I understand why. Ontario in the fall is breathtaking.

Autumn isn’t asking us to stop, it’s asking us to listen. Turn inward, and reflect.

As the days get shorter and the shadows outside become a little more visible, autumn invites us to look inward, too. There’s something about this season that naturally brings our own shadows to the surface: the parts of ourselves we might avoid, the mistakes we still carry, and the feeling that we should be further along than we are. In this episode, we’re talking about the feeling of not being enough, learning to forgive ourselves for the things we wish we had done differently, and accepting ourselves for where we are right now, even when it isn’t where we ultimately want to be. Because when we’re constantly living in the past or reaching toward the future, we miss the only place where we can actually create change: the present moment. Think of this as your autumn reminder to slow down, meet yourself where you are, and make a little more peace with the person you’re becoming. 🩵
