#19 | The Reality Of Being Lean

Wellness etc.

Show Notes

Consider this your reality check. Recently I found myself falling down the social media rabbit hole of trying to be perfect - with my content, my life, my food, my training, everything. And I had to pull myself out of it. Because the truth is, social media has completely distorted our sense of what is normal, what is healthy, and what is actually going on behind the content we consume every single day. This one is a bit of a reality check, a bit of a love letter, and a lot of critical thinking. We cover: Why all social media is edited, even the "authentic" stuff How the algorithm creates a distorted sense of what's normal The reality of what being constantly lean actually costs most women Why most fitness influencers don't have their period and why that matters What you're not seeing behind the content How to use critical thinking when you're stuck in the comparison trap

Happy 1 Year Period Anniversary to Me! On today's episode I reflected back on my own period recovery journey and the mental shifts that came along with it. Recovery forced me to change my whole belief system, trust in a process I didn't even know was working and rediscover who I was before the world told me who I should be. Here are 7 quotes that rewired my brain and altered my brain chemistry and I hope that they might do the same for you. Thank you all for being here! xo

This week's question is one I think so many of us need to hear answered honestly because rest guilt is real, it is incredibly common, and it has nothing to do with being lazy.
