The Truth About Seasonal Depression : Vitamin D Supplements, Capitalism & Sunscreen
The Twenties DetoxShow Notes
FREE WINTER GUIDE FOR BEATING SEASONAL DEPRESSION Hey everyone! We’re reaching the last few weeks of February - a time when seasonal depression can be full blown. In this episode I dissect what seasonal affective disorder REALLY is, its connection to vitamin D and the influence of capitalism. I just want to preface - I recorded these episodes a few weeks before recent saddening events. If you are feeling unwell, triggered, depressed, angry, etc during this time- it’s normal with the exposure of that information. Please take care of yourself. You are allowed to step away and recoup. Sending my love.
xoxo Bianca

Autumn is almost always at the top of the list when I ask people where I live what their favourite season is. And honestly, I understand why. Ontario in the fall is breathtaking.
Grief is one of those things that changes shape all the time.
Autumn isn’t asking us to stop, it’s asking us to listen. Turn inward, and reflect.
As the days get shorter and the shadows outside become a little more visible, autumn invites us to look inward, too. There’s something about this season that naturally brings our own shadows to the surface: the parts of ourselves we might avoid, the mistakes we still carry, and the feeling that we should be further along than we are. In this episode, we’re talking about the feeling of not being enough, learning to forgive ourselves for the things we wish we had done differently, and accepting ourselves for where we are right now, even when it isn’t where we ultimately want to be. Because when we’re constantly living in the past or reaching toward the future, we miss the only place where we can actually create change: the present moment. Think of this as your autumn reminder to slow down, meet yourself where you are, and make a little more peace with the person you’re becoming. 🩵
