Show Notes
Join Michele and James as they bring you the eagerly anticipated and much delayed Episode 424 of the The Doctor Who Podcast!
Given the (relatively) recent news that the 2026 Christmas Special is no more, DWP424 has been a kinda-casualty in our scheduling. So we will now bring you our “tell all” interview with Ashley in a later episode – although his presence is very much felt throughout this one!
James and Michele therefore catch you up on developments relating to Doctor Who’s now-infamous Tender process, before turning to the sort of drama Big Finish aren’t usually used to – after last week’s snap refresh of their website and App! What could possibly go wrong?!
It’s also Brent‘s turn to sit in the famous Campervan Mastermind chair as he answers questions on his specialist subject which is…… tune in to find out!
And Drew returns with his take on The Final Cut – the first story in Big Finish‘s new Eleventh Doctor range from the new box set, The First Question.
All this – and more! Enjoy the show.
More from The Doctor Who Podcast
What a weekend, courtesy of Mr Russell T. Davies and The Guardian! Join Ashley and Brent as the now former showrunner junks our recording schedule with an (incredibly interesting) interview promoting his memoires! Memoires, at 63?! Madness. Anyway Doctor Who features heavily in the extract published by the Guardian – great Who news for the Campervan to chew over. Along with coverage of the celebratory anniversary screening of The Satan Pit at cinemas across the globe, and the latest Thirteenth Doctor and Yaz story from Big Finish and Rochana Patel – that’s The Hallamshire Incident – what more could you possibly ask for?!
Thursday 17th September 2026 – the most anticipated Invitation to Tender of all time was published by the BBC!
Join James and Phil as they hop into the Campervan to catch up on what’s happening (or what’s not happening) in the world of Doctor Who. Tender talk is rife throughout fandom, but what exactly IS going on with our favourite show?! Is anything actually happening? When will hear anything that promises new Doctor Who on our telly screens?
Welcome to the latest episode of The DWP Echo Chamber!!
