Show Notes

This week, join Tony and Shippa as they wonder about the musical talent of the cast of Neighbours, and consider whether it would be possible for real neighbours to reach the dizzying heights of Jason and Kylie…indeed it is, and this talented neighbour certainly leaves them wallowing in the soapy quagmire of mushy stuff. Yes, Cameron Alexander from Brisbane via Perth shares his journey, both musical and physical from the wilds of Western Australia to the wilds of The Valley! Tony and Shippa can guarantee that your ears will be suitably impressed with Cam's dulcet tones and folk rock musings..

In the second half of the show, you’ll hear tracks from Lapse (Sydney), Ally Row (Gippsland, Vic), Streetlights (Perth), Big Wheels (Sydney), Ruby Rodgers (Sydney), Cheeky Leash Band (Illawarra), Dr Taos (Sydney), Lana Karlay (Geelong), Patrick Foord (Blue Mountains), The Midnight Tides (Sydney) and Tickets To Space (Brisbane), with Ship’s Surprise Mary & The Sharks trying, trying and trying again.

This week, join Tony and Shippa as they delve into the deep vats of discovery where the liquid is past your eyes…or should that be pasteurised? Yes, this show is guaranteed to delivery extra creamy goodness, with a dash of cheesy quips as Adam from the UK band The Milk Men joins the lads for a chat about his band, their music and why he’s sometimes referred to as Ernie…plus visiting Polish sailors giving them a churn overboard!

Laurie Horder moved to Beechworth in 2013 from the Gold Coast to be closer to family. He brought 25 years of community radio experience to Indigo FM when he joined in 2014. So many amusing memories and stories. Probably my favourite was Laurie unexpectedly turning up to the studio at 6:30am on a Winter morning in 2014 to "surprise" Greta and myself (Scott) on air and share a bunch of inappropriate, old skool jokes with our audience. Laurie's spirit was formidable and his energy contagious. Laurie always told us that any time, any hour of the day we required someone to "man the station" that Laurie was our guy! Gotta love that !!!
