Caravan Episode: NZ Vs India - 4th T20 Oct 30 2026

The Agenda

Summary

New Zealand secures a commanding victory over India in the fourth T20 international, winning by 87 runs at Eden Park. After posting a formidable total of 259 runs, highlighted by Glenn Phillips' explosive century, the Black Caps' bowlers dismantled the Indian batting lineup, restricting them to just 172 runs.

Phillips set the tone for New Zealand with a blistering 107 off 49 balls, supported by contributions from other batsmen. The team capitalized on a strong start, with aggressive batting that included nine sixes. In response, India struggled from the outset, losing their top order quickly. The Muffman, Jacob Duffy, was particularly effective, taking two wickets in his first over, while Mitchell Santner also made an impact with two wickets of his own.

Despite a few promising moments from Indian batsmen, including a brief resistance from Natish and Shreyas Iyer, the team faltered under pressure. The New Zealand bowlers maintained tight lines and effective variations, leading to a series of dismissals that left India reeling. The victory serves as a significant morale booster for New Zealand, especially after a disappointing series thus far. The two teams will face off again in the final T20 match on Sunday evening in Hamilton.
