[Relationships] Break-Up Recovery: Part 2 - Acceptance, Self-Respect & Cutting Ties | Episode 033
The GYST of It - Anxiety and Self-Confidence Advice, Guides and ConversationsShow Notes
When your relationship has been ended and you're feeling heartbroken and don't know how to even get through each day this is the video for you. I've been there, I've felt that level of hurt, I've felt as if I couldn't carry on and yet I find myself here some time later gladly accepting that I'm not in that relationship any more.
I've put together best advice that I can to help you if you're looking to move past your last relationship, find yourself again and hopefully stop feeling so miserable all the time.
In this second part of the series we'll be focussing on:
- The importance of accepting that the relationship is over (and a great first step to help with that)
- Why begging and pleading will make things worse in the long run even if they do change their minds
- How and why you should cut all but essential contact with your ex
- Why it's vital to unfriend and unfollow your ex (and maybe their friends too) on social media
- Why your recovery shouldn't be compared to your ex's recovery
- And how there is literally zero benefit to ever comparing yourself to an ex's new partner.

Karma eh?
Why is it that some people are completely chilled about dating, others overanalyse every interaction and message, and there are others who seem to deliberately sabotage what seem like perfectly reasonable dating opportunities?
