Show Notes
There is just something about summertime. The warm sun, time spent by the pool or at the beach, vacations, BBQs, and lazy days. For me, there’s a nostalgia to the season that, despite the heat, can bring good vibes and an excitement that is nearly unmatched. It's also the perfect time to start our spooky season celebrations! With the official, unofficial holiday of summerween upon us, we thought it might be a good time to tell ghostly tales set in the summertime. For today’s stories, I combed through our emails for stories that give you just the right amount of chill for a hot summer day! Stories of ghostly phone calls during your summer job at the marina, horrifying discoveries while out on a family hike, an entire family’s visit with a spirit from the past, and much more! So, get your iced tea and s’mores ready and let's celebrate summerween the right way!

While walking the aisles of an antique store or resale shop, I often think about the people who owned all of this stuff before it found itself here. You know, normal questions like: Who did it come from? What were they like? Are they still alive? Was their house haunted? Did they participate in any dark rituals that may have bound a demonic entity or disgruntled spirit to these items? Even though we may never know the answers to these questions, some of our listeners have encountered a ghost or two inside a thrift store or attached to an item they felt drawn to bring home and those are the stories we’ll be telling you in this episode! Get your coziest blanket, your warm mug of tea, and settle in with one eye on that antique piece of furniture you have sitting there in your room with you as we tell stories of haunted thrift stores, a pair of pants with a ghostly attachment, and a doll possessed by the spirit of its previous owner!

I feel like attempting to contact the spirits of the dead at least once is like a rite of passage for all who would have put themselves in the category of ‘spooky.’ And just as we’ve said so many times on this podcast, you never know what’s waiting for you in the darkness when you’re reaching out. Today, I’ve brought you several stories from our listeners who took a chance with a ouija board and made contact with something much darker than they intended!
