#239 The Practice That Changes How You Respond To Stress and Life

The Anxiety Dr. Podcast

Show Notes

Meditation isn't just about calming.

In this episode, I talk about meditation and why it's important in anxiety recovery.

And If you've ever said, "I can't meditate because I can't stop thinking," this episode will help you.

Meditation isn't about clearing yoru mind. It's about learning to notice your thoughts without automatically following them and becoming comfortable with your body again.

You shouldn't meditate because you're afraid of anxiety or because you need to make an uncomfortable feeling disappear. I don't even recommend my patients meditate when they're anxious. We meditate to learn to be mindful.

Meditation: Small practice. Powerful Impact.
