Team Work Makes The Dream Work

Not In Front of the Kids

Show Notes

Teamwork makes the dream work… allegedly. Nathan Massey is nursing a hangover and Cara De La Hoyde Massey has a bone to pick, starting with unanswered texts, a surprise sleepover at a mate's and a £90 Uber from Essex back to Kent. Somehow it all ends with a brilliant family day out in Margate.

Then it's on to this week's topic: how do you actually parent as a team? Nathan and Cara get into good cop vs bad cop, why they never undermine each other in front of the kids (well, almost never), who the kids always run to first, who'd survive longer going solo, and the never-ending battle over PlayStations, iPads and bedtime. In the debate, they confess whether they've ever hidden from their own children, and one of them has turned it into a military operation.

Plus, a special guest: Jordan Banjo, dancer, TV and radio presenter and member of the dance group Diversity, who shot to fame after winning Britain's Got Talent in 2009 alongside his brother Ashley Banjo. Now a dad of three, Jordan talks about the real cost of back to school, how to be resourceful when kids won't stop growing, why after-school clubs matter, and his very honest vasectomy experience.

And in "We Heard From You," your poll results are in: do kids ruin the mood, should you take them out of school for holidays, and should Nathan get the snip? Presented by Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde Massey.

From singing about girls in Blue to being outnumbered by them at home! This week, Cara and Nathan welcome Antony Costa to the studio — dad to Savannah and Paloma, partner to Rosanna, and now completely outvoted at home by daughters, a wife, and even the family cats. Ant opens up about man-cave surrender, the different flavour of chaos that comes with raising two girls, and the guilt and compromises of trying to give his kids everything while balancing life on tour. The gang also hashes out a thorny one in The Courtroom — a listener doesn't want her sister-in-law babysitting the kids, but is she protecting her family or just holding a grudge? — plus the usual outrageous listener confessions. Synopsis: Not In Front Of The Kids Not In Front Of The Kids is a brutally honest, unhinged, and hilarious podcast that abandons the illusion of perfect parenting. Launched on July 2, 2026, on FUBAR Radio, the show dives headfirst into the loud, sticky, and exhausting reality of raising a family. The Hosts The podcast is hosted by Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde-Massey, who famously met and won series two of Love Island in 2016. Now married with two children and a dog with ADHD, the couple has traded the glitz of reality TV for the trenches of parenthood. They use the show as a space to vent, bicker, and share the genuine chaos of their household without any Instagram filters. What to Expect Not In Front Of The Kids covers all the daily disasters, arguments, and questionable decisions that the parenting manuals leave out. Listeners can expect: Unfiltered Realities: Candid discussions on everything from the mental load of being the "default parent" to bedtime negotiations, fussy eaters, and the financial drain of family holidays.
