Michael Meade's new book explores how transformation is the way of the world, the mystery at the heart of each soul and possibly the only way out of the troubled times in which we live.
The Heart of Transformation begins with the core idea that we keep finding ourselves in uncharted waters regarding the future of the planet and in unmapped territories in terms of human culture. Despite all the divisions, conflicts and betrayals, something essential in the story of the world is trying to be rediscovered again.
Two stories are always happening at the same time. The drama of the world and the unique story of each soul trying to awaken. We may be but a tiny speck in an accidental universe, yet on another level, each soul is meaningful, valuable and a potential agent of creation.
Re-creation and renewal of the world can be the most important framework for understanding and re-imagining the role of humanity in these troubled times. Right when it seems that the end is near, new designs and new possibilities can appear. The current battle for the soul of humanity also becomes a struggle for the soul of the world, and we each have a vital role to play.

What if the greatest secret of North American prehistory lies not in Egypt or Mesoamerica, but in the ancient hills of the Ozarks? For twenty years, researcher F. K. Sterling walked the hollows, sat on family porches, and listened to the land. What he discovered challenges everything we believe about the deep past: a sophisticated pre-catastrophe civilization that used the Ozark Plateau as its final refuge after the Younger Dryas comet impact 12,900 years ago. This is not myth.Anomalous giant skeletons reported in nineteenth-century newspapers. Heart-stones and counting holes carved into limestone. Oral traditions from Cherokee, Osage, and Quapaw elders describing pale, tall "Moon-Eyed People" who already lived inside the mountains when their ancestors arrived. Electromagnetic anomalies, singing ridges, and lights rising from springs.Connecting the submerged ruins off Florida and the Bahamas to the ceremonial centers of Crystal River and the geometric precision of the Hopewell and Cahokia earthworks, Sterling reveals a lost civilization that did not vanish - it withdrew underground, preserving its knowledge through twelve thousand years of darkness. The hills remember. The springs still sing. And according to the old families who still keep the watch, some of them never left.
