More from Agent Monday - Real Estate Coach
Every owner of every property currently on the market with a salesperson wants to know what's going on with their campaign. They want to be well-informed. At the same time, there is always a lot to do in real estate and we need to be smart about how we use our time.
In this episode, I interview Damon Simms from VentureX, who places offshore staff directly with New Zealand businesses.
Real estate will take whatever space you let it take. If you don't carve out and protect time for the people you love, your partner, your kids, your family, your friends, those relationships suffer. And it's not only the time that needs protecting, it's your attention. You can be home for dinner and still not really be there if your phone's going the whole time, or if you know you've got a viewing at 6.30 and your head's already on the next job.
I'm hearing a consistent theme from salespeople: The market is quiet. Buyers are cautious, sellers are hesitant, and we're deep into winter with an election coming up later in the year. A few have even told me, quietly, that they're wondering whether it's time to walk away from the industry altogether.
Most salespeople I talk to are not short of effort. They are short of support.
