Show Notes
This ol’ internetty thing has been positively *alive* with Doctor Who rumours over last few weeks. What’s happening with this year’s Christmas edition of our beloved show?! After Ncuti Gatwa’s fleeting incarnation morphed into Billie Piper at the end of The Reality War last year, the BBC shared their post-Disney+ masterplan for Christmas 2026 and beyond. Journey back to October last year to hear our coverage of that news. However, silence has since fallen. Russell T Davies didn’t even mention the special in his recent interview with James O’Brien when discussing his future, and even went as far as to say, he’s “not filming again until next year”! But did he actually mean Doctor Who? IT’S ALL SO CONFUSING!
So, Christmas Special, or no Christmas Special?! Join Ashley, Phil and Ian as they try to make sense of it all!
Enjoy the show.

What a weekend, courtesy of Mr Russell T. Davies and The Guardian! Join Ashley and Brent as the now former showrunner junks our recording schedule with an (incredibly interesting) interview promoting his memoires! Memoires, at 63?! Madness. Anyway Doctor Who features heavily in the extract published by the Guardian – great Who news for the Campervan to chew over. Along with coverage of the celebratory anniversary screening of The Satan Pit at cinemas across the globe, and the latest Thirteenth Doctor and Yaz story from Big Finish and Rochana Patel – that’s The Hallamshire Incident – what more could you possibly ask for?!
Thursday 17th September 2026 – the most anticipated Invitation to Tender of all time was published by the BBC!
Join James and Phil as they hop into the Campervan to catch up on what’s happening (or what’s not happening) in the world of Doctor Who. Tender talk is rife throughout fandom, but what exactly IS going on with our favourite show?! Is anything actually happening? When will hear anything that promises new Doctor Who on our telly screens?
