Canadian Phosphate Limited managing director and CEO Daniel Gleeson talked with Proactive about the company's inclusion in the Government of Canada's Canada Investment Summit Pitchbook, progress at its Wapiti Phosphate Project in British Columbia, and its strategy to develop a domestic supply of phosphate fertiliser for Canadian agriculture.
Discussing the company's inclusion in the Canada Investment Summit Pitchbook, Gleeson said the recognition had increased its visibility and created opportunities for government engagement, particularly around Canada's food security objectives.
At Wapiti, the company has extended phosphate mineralisation along approximately 9km of strike. Gleeson confirmed that the latest drilling program had been completed at the end of September, with the phosphate seam intersected in every drill hole. Laboratory assays were pending at the time of the interview.
Looking ahead, Canadian Phosphate plans further drilling on Wapiti's western limb in 2027, alongside infill drilling intended to support future mineral resource classification. The company also expects an updated mineral resource estimate and further exploration work across its project portfolio.
The discussion also explored Canadian Phosphate's commencement of US trading under CPHOF, which the company hopes will improve share liquidity and broaden investor participation.
Upcoming milestones discussed included assay results, an updated mineral resource estimate, further drilling, exploration permitting and an exploration target for the Fernie Project.
