Show Notes
Gunsmoke presents “Spring Term,” episode 456 of the CBS Radio Network series, originally broadcast January 1, 1961. This broadcast reuses a script by John Meston first heard in 1953, with William Conrad as Marshal Matt Dillon and Parley Baer as Chester.
After a man is shot on Dodge City’s Front Street, Dillon fears the victim may have been mistaken for him. A clue leads back to an old Texas incident, sending Dillon and Chester on the trail of a long-delayed grudge.
Gunsmoke presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
