Show Notes

55. No Motivation to Sing? 3 Babysteps to Vocal Rehab Even with years of training, there may be seasons where you don’t feel like singing—and you’re not even sure *why*. Here’s 3 areas to address that might help move from a place of vocal silence to singing freely again:

1. Vocal and Physical Challenges – “My voice is not like what it used to be.” Where to start getting back on track with body alignment and vocal technique. 2. Heart Hurt – “People don’t want to hear me sing.” Past experiences, traumas, or negative comments that might have stayed with you, resulting in a loss of confidence. 3. Crushed Spirit – “I’m not sure I can still go after my dreams.” Disappointments, lost opportunities, or unfulfilled promises from God might leave you feeling hesitant to dream again.

This episode will help you form an action plan - both for a practical baby-step you can do today to start singing again, along with bigger next steps to finding growth and freedom in your voice long-term!

Blessings, Sarah 🌟

Maybe you’ve been wanting to make progress with your voice… but what you’ve been trying isn’t really working.

Have you been wondering, Is something wrong with my voice?

If your voice feels tired, unsupported, or strained—especially after singing or even just talking for a short time—you’re not alone. Many moms are faithfully doing pelvic floor exercises and still feel disconnected from real vocal support. In this episode, I want to gently shift the focus away from “trying harder” and toward something that often gets overlooked: alignment. When your body is aligned, your pelvic floor and breath can actually work together the way they were designed to. I’ll walk you through a simple, restful floor position using the wall and a few pillows that helps reset your ribcage, diaphragm, and pelvic floor. This isn’t about effort or force—it’s about giving your body the space it needs so you can finally feel pelvic floor engagement. If you’re a tired mama, postpartum singer, or feeling frustrated with vocal fatigue, this gentle practice can bring more ease, support, and confidence back into your voice in just a few minutes a day.

As a mom, it’s easy to feel discouraged about your singing—especially if your voice doesn’t feel the way it used to, you don’t have time to practice, or lessons feel out of reach. If you can relate, then I invite you into a perspective shift that will help you sing more this year. Instead of focusing on insecurities or limitations, you’ll be encouraged to see singing as a tool for joy, service, connection, and passing something meaningful on to others.
