Writer and witch Celeste Mott is back! This time she and Askia dig into the real origins of Halloween, how to break a curse, what a 12-hour Saturnian exorcism actually feels like, and why you should never, ever open a jar you find in the woods. Plus, a live tarot reading and full uncrossing ritual performed on Askia in real time. ______________________________

Celeste and Askia cover a lot of ground here. The true origins of Halloween trace back to Catholic holy days, not just Samhain, and the whole "the veil is thin" discourse gets a hard reality check. The origins of jack o lanterns go back to people carving faces to scare off wandering spirits, and the placebo effect turns out to be a pretty solid model for understanding how magic actually works.
On the darker end: signs of spiritual attachment are real, and Celeste lived through it. Around 2020-2021, deep occult practice made her an energetic target. A parasitic entity latched on, bringing chronic fatigue, sudden animal death, and a candle that exploded mid-ritual. The fix was a 12-hour planetary banishing in the hour of Saturn that left her violently ill until the jar was sealed and the pain stopped cold. She then threw it in the Mississippi River. High magic vs low magic, egregores, corporate occultism, the 1980s Satanic Panic, and how to dispose of a spell jar without inviting a nightmare into your life all make appearances.
There is also a full breakdown of the Salem witch trials (most victims were hanged, many were men, almost none were actual practitioners), the founding of Wicca by Gerald Gardner in the 1950s, spiritual parasite removal, and how billionaires use occultists the same way they use lawyers. Oh, and fraternity hazing as a form of ritualized subjugation.
The episode closes with Celeste performing a live uncrossing ritual on Askia using Mars energy, Fiery Wall of Protection powder, protection oil, Dark Star incense, Psalm 91, and a relic stone of St. Michael. The tarot pulled The Moon, Nine of Swords, and Nine of Wands.
