Show Notes
Gunsmoke presents “Bad Boy,” episode 97 of the classic CBS Radio Network series, originally broadcast on February 27, 1954. William Conrad stars as Marshal Matt Dillon in this John Meston script, directed by Norman Macdonnell.
When the young son of a respected rancher causes trouble at Dodge City’s Texas Trail saloon, Dillon worries that the boy’s older companion may be leading him astray. A shooting on the Vickers range and reports of missing cattle give Dillon and Chester a more serious mystery to investigate. Parley Baer co-stars as Chester, with Howard McNear and Georgia Ellis.
Gunsmoke presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
