Show Notes

Haere mai to Chafing the Dream Wow, this is a special episode and we want to say a special thank you to Bradley, TrailRunningNZ newsletter. We couldn't have done it without him. Seriously! We are so lucky.

Okay on with it. So Dwayne drove down to Rotovegas to first and foremost crew for our local legend, Sam Rout. THEN snag interviews off the following top male and female finishers. Apologies for not being able to get more of the 100k female finishers, or any for that matter. It was like wet soup out there. Or so we've been told.

The following list is the upcoming interviews on this pod: 50k Females 1) Robyn Lesh 2) Jemima Cooper 4) Hannah Wall 7) Emily Hawgood

50k Males 1) Samuel Macaulay 2) Charlie Hamilton 3) Sam Rout

102k Males 2) Jacob Banta 3) Max Yanzick 10) Leonard Terry

Thanks for the listen y'all. We are lucky to have you as our listeners. Keep listening for some free entries to our local races in Northland.

This week Mal and Dwayne share their recent training progress, Mal has an updated lift program which she is very excited about and Dwayne is staring down the barrel of the Taupo 100km in a little over 3 weeks. They also go over the recent results from the local half marathon, as well as Dwayne's experience running as the 1:40 pacer. Lastly the up coming mile series has both Dwayne and Mal very excited. And it's not just that Mal is excited to hear a measurement in the imperial units. The track has a special place in her heart and she's hoping more people will discover this passion. So hold on to your earbuds as this might turn into a track podcast for a few weeks. If you want to sign up to race The Mile you can do so here: https://hatea.run/event/the-mile/ Entry closes 4th Oct.
