Patrick Clancy Speaks — Holdout Says Lindsay Was Guilty From Day One

Crime Talk with Scott Reisch

Show Notes

Patrick Clancy is speaking publicly as major new developments continue to emerge from the Lindsay Clancy trial. Patrick will appear on 60 Minutes this Sunday alongside his new wife, Dr. Rachel Danis, discussing his grief, his children Cora, Dawson and Callan, the mental health issues surrounding the case and the conspiracy theories that have targeted him since the trial. At the same time, the lone holdout juror is now pushing back against the other eleven jurors. According to the journalist who interviewed him, the holdout says he believed Lindsay was criminally responsible from the beginning and denies ever telling the jury that he had reasonable doubt. We break down what he said, how it conflicts with accounts from other jurors and whether his comments could create additional questions about what happened inside that jury room. Also on today's Crime Talk: • Ohio "House of Horrors" mom Elizabeth Siders faces new felony sex charges as questions continue about her mental competency and a possible pregnancy. • Former American Idol contestant Caleb Flynn goes on trial for the alleged murder of his wife, Ashley Flynn. • A West Virginia woman is accused of leaving her seriously ill husband on a toilet for approximately 19 hours before his death. • An NYPD officer is accused of stealing a safe containing nearly $50,000 in cash and jewelry — and then allegedly using police databases to follow the investigation into himself. Plus: Legal History, our Legal Quote, and today's Dumb Criminal.

New questions are surrounding the Cornell 7 controversy after recordings reportedly captured a longtime fraternity adviser claiming he had connections inside Cornell University Police and could call in "favors." BREAKING UPDATE: The David Prevatte murder trial has ended in a mistrial after allegations of juror misconduct disrupted deliberations. The day began with the judge investigating Juror Number Three over claims that she brought outside information into the jury room. She was ultimately removed, but as questioning of the remaining panel continued, additional concerns surfaced about information being discussed that had never been introduced as evidence. The judge ultimately determined the case could not continue with the jury and declared a mistrial. We added the breaking development to today's show after our original recording. Also today on Crime Talk: • Bryan Kohberger continues his attempt to undo the guilty plea that sent him to prison for the murders of Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin. • Lindsay Clancy's lone holdout juror, Michael Desronvil, breaks his silence and explains why he refused to join the other 11 jurors. • Nearly 15 years after Michelle Parker disappeared, her former fiancé Dale Smith Jr. has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder. • The Cornell Jane Doe is reportedly being targeted in multiple swatting attacks. • The planned livestream of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan's execution has been canceled. • Plus Legal History, the Legal Quote of the Day and a Dumb Criminal who escaped through a window — but left police his driver's license.
