The Summer I Started Aligning with the Sun and Trees | Seasonal Living Series

The Twenties Detox

Show Notes

There was a specific summer where I stopped fighting the season and started actually listening to it. And honestly, everything shifted after that. 🌞 In this episode, I am getting into what it really means to live seasonally, and specifically what summer is asking of you right now. We are talking about Q2 reflections, why summer is actually one of the best times to pivot instead of push harder, how social media can quietly pull you away from your own values if you are not paying attention, and the gardening analogy that completely changed how I think about goals. This episode is part of the Seasonal Living Series, and it might be the most grounding one yet!! This one is for you if you have been feeling a shift in your energy lately and you are not quite sure what to do with it.

Autumn is almost always at the top of the list when I ask people where I live what their favourite season is. And honestly, I understand why. Ontario in the fall is breathtaking.

Grief is one of those things that changes shape all the time.

Autumn isn’t asking us to stop, it’s asking us to listen. Turn inward, and reflect.

As the days get shorter and the shadows outside become a little more visible, autumn invites us to look inward, too. There’s something about this season that naturally brings our own shadows to the surface: the parts of ourselves we might avoid, the mistakes we still carry, and the feeling that we should be further along than we are. In this episode, we’re talking about the feeling of not being enough, learning to forgive ourselves for the things we wish we had done differently, and accepting ourselves for where we are right now, even when it isn’t where we ultimately want to be. Because when we’re constantly living in the past or reaching toward the future, we miss the only place where we can actually create change: the present moment. Think of this as your autumn reminder to slow down, meet yourself where you are, and make a little more peace with the person you’re becoming. 🩵

Q4 is right around the corner. And in the corporate and business world, this tends to be one of the busiest times of the year.
