It has been said that knowledge is power and that knowledge applied is wisdom. I sat down to talk with a gentleman who has shared quite a bit of his knowledge and wisdom with me. His name is Ben Perrin and he has stepped off into the unknown. He lives almost entirely on a new form of money called Bitcoin. Ben is a passionate educator and he calls himself a "Bitcoin Maximalist." With over 3 million views and 36,000 subscribers on his show, "The BTC sessions" on YouTube, Ben loves to empower others in their financial wellbeing.
So what is money really? And how does it work? My parents always told me it didn't grow in trees, but governments around the world are able to print more money at any time that they want. So what's that all about? And have you ever wondered why prices always go up on the things that you need most? And you barely get any interest when saving your money in the bank nowadays. How about when you go into the grocery store and the cereal box gets smaller and smaller, but you pay the same price for it? What's that about?
We dive into all these questions and more, as we discuss why Bitcoin might just be the future of money. Now I must also state that no opinion expressed by myself or Ben is to be considered financial advice. We're just having a fun conversation.
