Did Daniel actually kill a dragon? And why isn't this story in most modern Bibles?
In Episode 54 of the Ancient Roots of Life Podcast, JT and Josh dive into Bel and the Dragon, the fascinating addition to Daniel preserved in the Septuagint tradition. Daniel exposes the priests of Bel, destroys their idol, kills a creature the Babylonians worship as a god, and then finds himself thrown into a lions' den — again.
From there, we tackle one of the biggest debates in Christianity: What actually changed under the New Covenant? We examine Jeremiah's prophecy, Acts 15, Paul's writings, the Ten Commandments, Sabbath observance, Torah, and what it means for God's law to be written on the heart.
